My sister Sheila sent me this newsreel video that dates back to the 1940's. Look for New Haven's Union Station in the background.

Awesome footage with the rtc room and the manual switching. My how things have changed. The Yankee Clipper lives on out side of baseball.

Great video, it seems to be making the rounds these days. This is from a NHRR promotional film entitled "A Great Railroad at Work." And......
you can buy it on DVD today from an outfit called "Pentrex" in California. This Yankee Clipper segment is only a small piece of it.
